I heard the traditional American song "The Frozen Girl" sung by Tim Eriksen on a Cordelia's Dad album. I thought the tune was far too sad: this girl who was too vain to wear a nice warm coat on a cold night (and therefore freezes to death) is simply a reflection of Darwin's Theory in action. So I wrote a more cheery tune and adapted the words to reflect my opinion: that she should have listened to her mother and wrapped up warmly on a cold winter's night.
